Maryam Mohamed Ramadan Sobh, a 50-year-old widowed mother in Gaza, has suffered unimaginable loss. The war took two of her sons, aged 30 and 31, leaving behind 12 orphaned grandchildren. Her home and shop were destroyed, leaving her with nothing.
“We were living a good life,” she recalls. “This war destroyed us.” Now, with no income, no home, and no resources, she struggles to feed and shelter her family. “We are eating canned food. Everything is too expensive. We don’t have money.”
Despite her suffering, her faith remains strong: “All praise and thanks are only to God in all circumstances.” But she cannot do this alone.
